HAMILTON, March 27. While erecting a stall at the Perry 'Bank Park, Air Joseph Williams, a geo 65 years, collapsed and died almost immediately. Death is believed to have bee. n , due to "-.a heart complaint' from which .he to have been suffering for some time.

PLUMB EDS’ DISPUTE.

CHRISTCHURCH. March 28

The hearing of the Dominion plumbers’ .dispute, was continued by the Conciliation Council, having been adjourned from Invercargill.

The principal point is wages. The employers proposed Is IO.Vd hourly, with overtime, at time and a quarter for the first three hours and time and a half thereafter.

The employees stood firm for a 2s minimum.
