Counsel for, the woman said that she was' quite well known. There was a good defence. The magistrate (Mr E. D. Mosley) : “I think it is better that she be not •allowed bail. Tho circumstances arc peculiar.
■Regarding'Way the .police s'aid that lie. was admitted to the hospital at 1.50 &.m. on Sunday with a shot wound in the arm. When interviewed . by a detective he refused to give ar,v information. After his discharge Way was seen ; at the premises in Haokthorne Road and finally located hiding behind a tree. There would be no objection to bail if he assisted the police. ' Bail was allowed Way of £2OO, and one .surety of £2OO, on condition that ho reported doily to. the. police and did not go to Hack tho me Road.
