"Ou r credit system ha s -been »o fully restored,” h e said, “that to-day we ar e almost embarrassed by the amount of money coming into London from other countries, brought by people who feel that this is a safer place than that from which it came. From haying slipped back to the position of tjhe third exporting country of the world, we have regained the position of the first exporting country.”' Over 200 new factories have been established, here with foreign capital. The Government has had invitations from .something " like 20 foreign countries to begin negotiations with them for new commercial treaties. Agriculture was .being reorganised from top to bottom. The farme r had greater Hopes -and greater confidence in the future, than for many years.
