Congratulations to Sir ' -Alexander Gray on. his honour of Knighthood were extended at the annual meeting„ of the New Zealand Law Society, of which h e wa s re-elected President. Various speakers said the honour was well deserved. Replying, Sir A. Gray said he regarded his knighthood as a compliment t 0 the legal profession! Mr C. H. Treadwell (Wellington) wap; re-elected Vice-Tresident, aft- Mr P. Levi (Wellington) was re-elected Treasurer. Mr W. A. Hawkins, who retired from the Secretaryship after years of service was presented with a radio gramophone.
