Covering Western Karamea, Westport, Murchison, Reefton, Greymouth, Hokitika, Otira, Arthur Pass, Ross, Okuru, at noon to-day:—

An intense anti-cyclone is moving on to southern New Zealand. A tropical cyclone is centred south of Fiji, and moving, apparently, southeastwards.

The forecast iis for light to moderate south-east to east winds. Weather fine and cool. Seas moderate.

UNION COMPANY’S LINE.

The Totara was expected to le'ave Greymouth last night for New Ply- 1 mouth, coal laden, returning to Greymouth about the end of the week to load coal for Gisborne.

The Kamia is due at Greymouth next Thursday from Auclkaud and after discharging general cargo loads coal for return via Westport. The Kaimiro is due at Greymouth on Friday from Westport to load coal for Wellington and New Plymouth. The Kini is due at Greymouth next Monday to load coal for Miramar and Wellington.
