Fifteen minutes before the Grand National E. H. Dunning declined 6000 dollars for a, half share in a ticket on Golden Miller.

AUCKLAND, March 25,
S. T. Stevens, a ticket collector for the Ferry Company, drew Really True in the Danzig Sweep on the Grand National.
With exchange the .prize is worth about £843, which Setters will share with a Mrs Miller, joint holder of the ticket.

Drawers of unplaced houses 'among whom is Mr G. Cavanagh, Cathedral Square, Chri.stchu.rch, will share £843 15s between them. Nine other New Zealanders also share in this.
The controlling organisation of the Danzig Sweepstake is a Dominion concern, British and Foreign Concessions, Ltd., and it has 2500 shareholders, tall of whom are resident in New Zealand.
The subscribed share capital of the company is £60,000, and the shares, which (are of £1 each, are in small holdings. The premium issue closed in December last, and was oversubscribed. Some 6000 shares fully paid up were allotted to the promoters, the remainng 54,000 being contributing share of which 10s a share has been •paid. The uncalled capital of the company' is £27,000.
