LONDON, March 25.
The “Daily Mail’s” Madrid correspondent states that Spam will go into her ,next revolution with the crucifix in her hand, according to a speaker at a. demonstration cf twelve thousand people held at Seville. The meeting was one urging support for the “Popular Action” Party, which is aiming at grouping the sections of right ngrjiiVst Government’s anti-religious policy. The Government’s policy includes the threatened seizure of the religious .pro-perty-and of the cathedrals valued at hundreds of millions sterling. The Nationalists are mostly young ! women. They have organised, on a Fascist basis. They wear blue skirts and blouses. Their watchword is “Religion and Country.” The Monarchy is being heard about everywhere. Undoubtedly Spain is still in a revolutionary period. There is unemployment, and the Government’s agrarian policy is causing grave dissatisfaction and if the Moderates should reach an agreement with the Right, then Spain may be rid of her Socialist dictatorship.
