GANDHI’S CAMPAIGN SETBACK

DELHI, March 25
Gandhi’s campaign for the removal of the social ban from Untouchables received fi severe setback when the Indian Legislative Assembly postponed for further consideration a Bill granting rights to the Untouchables to enter the Hindu temples.
It is believed that this mean s shelving the measure till January. ’ Meanwhile a judge at Poona has rejected applications for injunction to restrain Gandhi and 134 others from carrying on the propaganda against the caste restrictions.
