They implied a continuance of the fiscal and other policies which had ' failed to afford a 'solution of the national problem,? and would have the effect; of diminishing trade, decreasing revenuopnd inovosr'g, unemployment without any corresponding reduction in expenditures, -and • increasing taxation and debt, thereby aggravating the existing depression and distress. •-
