FORCIBLE TETTER

FROM MEDICAL, ASSOCIATION

TO HOSPITAL BOARD

(Per Presc Association — Copyright.)

CHRISTCHURCH, March 22

.“To make, allegations, as you have done, of medical men trying to escape or evade responsibilities, is not only offensive but foolish and contemptible,” was the concluding sentence of a letter from the Canterbury Division of the‘British Medical .Association received at to-day’s meeting of the Hospital Board. The communication, couched in forcible terms, was evoked by a previous letter from the Board to friendly societies, concerning the sending of lodge members by friendly society doctors to the out-patients’ department of the hospital. Members of tho Board expressed surprise at the tone of the letter, and referred the matter to the hospital committee for a report.
