(Per Press Association — Copyright.)
WELLINGTON, March 22
The Maunganui is till at the wharf and her sailing has been postponed till 3 p.ra. It is known that a call for stewards to sign, on this morning was without result. It is believed that the departure time will, be put off every few hours till a settlement is reached. The vessel will bo unable to make ud |o.st. time on the run to ’Fi'Vjco but tlie postal officials say that they arc hopeful of connecting with mail liners for England from America. As a rubi there are- plenty of stewards around the waterfront looking for work, but, because.of the seasonal exodus •of ships with produce for over-seasy;-there are not so many a.s usual just now..
