RADIO BROADCAST
OF EDUCATIONAL LECTURES,
(Per Prat! 1 ssociation — Copyright .)
CHRISTCHURCH, March 22.
Arrangements " having been completed for the broadcast of educational lectures for school children in Canterbury and Westland, it only remains for School Committees to .purchase wireless sets to receive these programmes. In an interview, Mr F. C. Brew, viceprincipal of Christchurch Training College who is connected with the scheme, said that even if committees could non see their way clear to buy a set, there was no necessity for children to remain in schools to hear the lectures. If a sen could be borrowed, or. if one was available in a private home, that arrangement could be followed. Another point Mr Brew mentioned was that radio sets used for educational purposes m schools, were free from license fees.
