BETTER SORTS IMPROVE.

CHRISTCHURCH, March 21
The fourth and final avool auction of the season was held this evening. The catalogue was 11,004 bales. There was a full bench of buyers, and there was a keen demand. Halfbred wool was a halfpenny per lb better than at the last sale ; . and fine crossbred was, from a. farthing to a 'halfpenny better. Shabby crossbred, showed no improvement.
The range of prices was as follows: Merinos, extra super to ll|d, super 9s'd to 10td, medium 73d to 9d, inferior Sid to 7’,d, fine halfbred. extra super 10id to lid, medium 9d to 9fd, inferior 6'd to B^d, medium half-bred, super 9ld to 101 d, medium 8d to 9d, inferior . s'd to 71d; coarse bnlfbred. super 73cl to 83d, medium ojd to ltd, inferior 4ld to 51 d.
