A large, shark, abput 1,4ft,/in length, lias been observed swimming in the vicinity of Onchunga Wharf' at intervals for several days A Attempts to catch it have proved unsuccessful. It was seen to charge, a small sailing boat which was anchored off tlie wharf. No one was. on board, the crew being on tire wharf at the time. The boat was hot damaged, but some paint was, scraped off the hull were it was struck by the shark.
