A. W. Carr, captain of Notts, stated “If necessary, Larwood, And Voe« will certainly bowl the leg theory this season. I intend to have six leg traps for Larwood. Batsrpen may be bruised, but that happens against most fast bowlers.” -
Carr admitted that he disliked leg theory. “I frankly hate to bat against it, but a captain’s duty ~is to win matches.”
The cricket writer, Carson, expressed the opinion that the public null revolt if players are injured.
