COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (Per Press Association — CopqrUjht , WELLINGTON, March 15. Harold Alexander Browne, aged 17, was committed for sentence for breaking and entering the Paramount lounge and tearoom's on Saturday and stealing sweets, cigarettes, and other goods valued at £3 Is lid, and for attempting to enter the same premises with intent to commit theft, ana for stealing a brace and bit valued at 4/-.

From statements made during the hearing, it appeared that an attempt by the accused to enter four days previously was unsuccessful, and he afterwards stole the brace and bit to effect an entry. Accused explained the possession of the goods after the crime by saving that lie had a job canvassing with sweets.
