HOKITIKA COMMITTEE MEETS

The committee of the Hokitika District Prospecting Association met. la.it evening when there were present Messrs A. H. Lawn (chairman), A. Hyndman, M. Keenan, G. Sutherland, J. J. Mclntosh, W. Boyd, E. Heenan, and N. Wairen (secretary). Tho minutes or the previous meeting were read and confirmed and outward correspondence approved. Mr Heenan reported I on. work done on South Terrace. Mr Hyndman reported that a shaft had been put down by Messrs Griffiths and Robertson, on ,the Ross road. Tho distance sunk was thirty-one feet, with traces of 'gold throughout,' the water proving a, difficulty. It was decided to put the ’ boring plain, on this propcsitioh. ■ ‘
