At the Supreme Court, Westport, yesterday before Mr Justice Iteed, Frederick N. S. Franklin was found guilty of disposing of the body of Mary Jane Franklin, with intent to conceal the birth was placed on pro- ; bation and ordered to come up for sen'enee within a. period of twelve months. A claim of Olive Parrish against the Westport-Stockton Coal Company for £SOO damages in connect tion with the death of her father was heard, the jury returned a verdict for the defendant company.
