Griffin, Government analyst at Auckland, concerning ’ the. ■ properties and effects of veronal, and the methods of testing.'it. .-...it' J “ r The conclusion !of the . evidence, .for the Crown was reached tp-day. No-.evi-dence was called by the defence. The oharges against Nurse 'Kerr, are' that on April 8, 10, and 16, 1932, . she administered the drug . veronal to. her eight year old foster daughter, Dorothy Betty Cameron with: intent to injure her, so as’ to endager Her’life; 4 ' After evidehce had been completed, Mr Singer, for accused, raised points of law that were, overruled by,, His Honour,, ami Mr Meredith the Ciwii then addressed the jury, Mr Singer’s .ua-di-ess for the defence was postponed until to-morrow. That will be followed by his Honour's summing up.
