Pillow Eight, the New Zealand horse ran second to Eahames, a four-year-old gelding, in the Man o’War Eahames Myon bj r ahead from the New Bahamse woii bv a head from the New Zealander. This was the first start by Pillow Eight since he was brought here. He gave an excellent account of I himself. Eahames is a sprinter by nature, and closed up a wide gap in the stretch drive, and caught Pillow Fight only a few yards from the finish. The 'lime wsfe 1.11. The Agua On lien to Jockey Chib has suspended indefinitely its eight day race meeting after the completion ,of the racing on Sunday, as a result of | the money shortage, reflecting the banking situation in the United State®. It Is hoped to resume in the latter part of the week, and if possible to re-open on Friday. It is boned ' that none of the major races will be affected.
