Confidence that the loan conversion schem e would assist i n a revival! of .the Dominion's industrial prosperity, was expressed by th e Governor-General, Bledfsloe, when opening the Karori Flower Show to-day. “No step 'New Zealand hag taken since I came to this Dominion is so fraught with ultimat e benefit to all its .inhabitants, | and there has been none which 'has, caused m e more personal satisfaction or such confident > hope for a revival of th e Dominion's industrial prosperity,” said Lord Bledisloe. “I earnestly hope and believe her citizens in all walks of life who hoiu Government stock, will patriotically submit to the small .sacrifice asked of them in the confidence that thereby the security of their capital will be enhanced, and the security of their country immeasurably strengthened.”

Th e House of Representatives continued its consid'.jraUon of the-Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill yesterday! The Bill passed through all stages ana the House adjourned at 11.40 o’clock to-morrow.
During the evening the Local Authorities’ Interest Reduction and LoanConversion 'Bills were, introduced by Governor’s message and read the first time. Opportunity for discussion of this measure will he provided in the House to-morrow.
