AUSTRALIAN GRAVES INSPECTED BERLIN, February 27. : In the historic Palace of Willielms- . traaee, formerly the residence of Bis- . ma-fi and other ohmicellbrs, which .President is now temporarily occupying, Mr Bruce returned to Germany, the relic of the Australian Navy’s first notable achievement, , the Bmden’s name-plate. Mr Bruce paid a tribute to the courage and chivalry of■ the Emden’s captain and crew. Their deeds must ’have stirred the hearts of Germany as they wrung respect from itheir enemies. P'V dying, ’ President Hindenburg said the whole of Germany was grateful to Australia. Germany wished to strengthen ties of friendship with Australia, and that day’s eve nit, doubtless,. would contribute towards that end. After courtesy calls, Mr Bruce, accompanied by Lady . ami' Miss RumfbpJd', visited the beautiful Stahndorf ,Cemetery, where /paths: were cut •tlitough deep snow to ( enable therm to •inspect the trim graves ofr.iwerity-rsix-.
