(United Press Association —By Electric Telegi ayh—Copyright.) . . BELFAST, March 1. The Belfast ■ police have been all night long .combing the city for an armed gang who brutally murdered a policeman, John Ryan.

The gang, consisting of six, after firing at the police, who since the beginning of the railway strike, have -been guarding- the Goods Depot in the Falls Road district, fled, but they encountered Ryan, who wagi going on duty, and fired at him. Ryan returned the fire. He received six shots in the chest, and collapsed and died.
