CANCER CONFERENCE
N.Z. DELEGATES TO AUSTRALIA* (Australian Fres* Association.) CANBERRA, March 1. Seventy delegates,’.representative of every State and of New Zealand, attended the fourth Australian Cancer Conference, which, was opened to-day by the. Federal Minister of- Health, Mr Marr. He cordially weloomed the visitors, including tfie New . Zealanders, Professor D’Ath and Doctor Lynch, ■whose work, he said, was already well known to the medical profession of Australia. .... Mr-. Marr added that the Commonwealth was .faced with a. definite, rise in the mortality rate ; due .to cancer. The Government acknowledged with great appreciation.-' the manner in which all concerned were ■ co-operating in a national policy, of fighting the scourge.
