Thus, although it is now March 1, it is still February in the Chambers. The Bill lias been tossed between the Chamber and Senate almost daily, and amended in each place. The Chamber adopted the Senate’s amendment making the general rise in the income tax ten per cent instead of twenty per cent. The Chamber is now discussing the civil service cuts. The Finance Bill has been passed.
