RETURN OF HER NAME PLATE
MR BRUCE’S VISIT TO GERMANY. (British Officiil Wireless.) RUGBY, February. 26. Mr Bruce will visit Berlin on Monday and hand to President Hindeilburg the nameplate from the German cruise] Emden, which was destroyed by the cruiser H.M.A.S. Sydney on November ,9, 1914. The presentation is being made as. a token of goodwill qn tlie part of the Australian Government. MR BRUCE ENTERTAINED 1 . BERLIN, February 26. After nineteen hours’ rail journey across snow-covered country Mi Bruce, the first Australian member of Cabinet . officially to visit Berlin, arrived from Geneva. He was welcomed at the station by Sir Horace Rumbold. The dinner in honour of Mr Bruce tonight, included Baron von Neuraths, Herr Bassewitz, representing President Hindenburg and Chancellor Hitler, General Runsedt, (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps), Admiral Raeder.- Graf Nicholas Zadohna, (ex-Captain of the raider Moewe.) The name plate ceremony was fixed for 11.30 to-lfiorrow.
