CHURCH. * V: l. . CHRISTCHURCH, Fbruary 24. Dr Wright, Archbishop of Sydney and Primate of Australia, died at St George’s Hospital this -afternoon. Dr Wright had been spending ji holiday at Hanmer Springs. He became ill on Sunday. On medical advice he was brought to Christchurch on Wednesday evening, ,and entered the hospital. His condition grew worse on, Thursday and thV* doctors-decided that an operation This . was performed at 10.30 this morning, but the patient’s strength was unequal to the stock. REGRET EXPRESSED IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, February 24. Deep regret was expressed in Anglican circles at the death of Archbishop Wright at Christchurch. Upon hearing of his father’s death at Christchurch, his soli, Bertram Wright, a barrister, returned his brief and quoted the Supreme Court.
