SENSATIONAL MATCH SCORE.
TEAM OUT FOR TWO RUNS.
AUCKLAND, February 20.
What must approach a, New Zealand record for low scoring occurred in connection with a senior B g?ade match played under the control of the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association on Saturday afternoon. The teams were Mount Noskill and Edendale. Batting on a good, wicket Edendale was dismissed for 59, its opponents replying with just one more than this total. Edendale’s second innings was opened to the howling of Martin and Heazlewoocl and the first'six wickets 101 l in three overs without a run being scored. Then a single was obtained off Martin, followed by a leg bye. That wa s the finish of Edendale, as the remaining four wickets fell without addition to the score. The bowlers, Martin and Heazlewood, finished up with the remarkable averages of seven for 1 and three for none respectively. Mount itoskill hit up the two runs required for an outright win for the loss of one wicket, thus ending a sensational day’s cricket. Incidentally this was Mount Itoskill’s seventh successive six-point win in as many games.
