PRICES AT CHRISTCHURCH. DROP OF PENNY PER POUND. CHRISTCHURCH, February 23. At the third Christchurch wool sale of the season, held to-day, 25,180 hale 6 we lie offered to a full bon c h of ■buyers. Th e selection was considered rather a poor one, containing a large proportion of back country woofs, mainly sandy and discoloured. Bidding was fairly keen at a lower range of values, the main (competitors coming from Bradford, France and Japan, about 90 per cent, of th 0 offering wars sold at auction. The decline in quality represented a drop of a penny per pound on Hie prices at the January sales, and there was a further easing off of one penny per pound for all fleece wools.
