DUNEDIN, February 19.
Tlie New Zealand Band Contest commenced this afternoon at Carisbrook under excellent weather condition'-:, and before a. very large attendance, numbering about 7000. The afternoon was occupied with the C. Grade Brass Bands Quickstep, and the Highland Pipe Bandy Quickstep.
