FALL IN PRICES
DOMINION DAIRY PRODUCE. POSSIBLE CHECK ON EXPORTS. LONDON, Feb. 13. Trade treaty negotiations by Britain with Argentine and Denmark, coupled with the plight of British agriculture, ace likely markedly to involve Australia’s, New Zealand’s, and other Dominions’ foodstuffs exports' to Britain, particularly dairy produce. The Sydney “Sun ’ understands that the catastrophic fall in prices may compel Britain to seek restriction in imports, similar •to the existing voluntary meat-restrictions.
A serious problem for the Dominions is that some dairy products have fallen so heavily that no anti-foreign duties will really protect the Dominions. Moreover, if the foreigners cannot secure satisfactory treaties here, they will continue to flood the market regardless of prices, which may fall consderably lower.
