MAULED BY TIGER
ACCIDENT ON HUNT IN INDIA. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph— Ccpyrigh t.) (Received this day at 8 a.m. CALCUTTA, February 14. Sergeant Adams, of the (Calcutta police, was severely mauled by a tiger, arid his condition is critical. He accompanied Sir John Anderson, Governor of Bengal on a tiger hunt, at Jalpaiguri. A wr.s sighted and shot at, but only wounded, and it ler.pcd at the elephant whereon Adams was seated. The animal threw Adams who fell iii) 1 lie tiger which savagely attacked him before being despatched by a wellaimed jshob.
