(Our Own Correspondent.) The Ross, Ruatapu and other surrounding schools will hold their anI nual excursion to Greymouth on Fri- 1 day. The in dictations that that the excursion will be lvell patronised, as Waitahu and other southern schools I are also joining in. The train leaves j Ross at 8.30 a-.m., leaving Greymouth on return at 5.30 p.m.. Fares from Ross return are: adults 3s, children Is 6d. ■ ' MINES INSPECTOR AT ROSS. Mr Scoble, Inspector of Mines, is in Ross at present, making an inspection of various mines and mining propositions in the district. ' ROSS DEEP LEVELS. It is reported the Ross Deep Levels .? will be worked again in the near fu- >' ture, and will be worked on a large scale, a large amount of capital being available for the project.
