John Is id Jr Weuigott, ag»d 32, who, on August 18 was the driver of a. car which knocked down Henry Lloyd Da'rtnall, of Christchurch and killed him cind .injured his wife,.was sentenced to-day. Mr- Justice Herd man said that the two pedestrians were dressed in black and as it was in the evening they weie probably hard 1 He was not satisfied that pVisoner had been driving negligently of 1 too fast, but it had been proved that lp. had not kept a propei look-out. It was arot a casp for imprisonment.’ The prisoner would be fired £loo,' to be paid within thi-ee months and■ his' license' would he cancelled for three years. 1
