Temporary repairs to the lines- enabled the mail train, which was marooned yesterday, to pircceed to Marathon. The flood water is now rapidly receding and several services have already resumed. The Inkerman bridge over the Burdokin river, however, is still isubmerged, and the southern mail has been cancelled.
