RINKS COMPETITION RESULTS,
There was considerable interest shown in the play yesterday. The greens rolled, out well, a<nd it was generally conceded that they played exceptionally well, in spite of thfe great amount of rain that had fallen, and generally the bowls ran very -true. 'Though the weather was threatening at times, there was . only one shower that interfered with play for a few'minutes. The arrangements made were' carried out well and the play concluded on both greens (well before the schedule. Morning and afternoon tea was provided by lady' supporters on both, greens, and, in capable hands. The arrangements ran. very smoothly. Today the rinks competition'is being continued and section winners will be found before play concludes. The following are the : results (of the second and third rounds <•> yesterday arternoon, the only two rinks to win their three' games for the day being Page (Lyttelton) and Mercer (fxreymouth).
