This fall is due to the approach of a new and deep westerly depression across the South Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate to strong nortjh-westeriy to norterly winds, ' reaching gale force in places, and the weather becoming unsettled with rain. Some heavy ialls are likely; seas rather rough to rough. UNION COA PANY’S LINE The Totara. arrived at Greymouth last night from Westport, to load for Gisborne. The Ivartigi loads general cargo and sugar shipments at Auckland to-day for Greymouth and Hokitika, arriving at Greymouth about Friday, loading outwards timber Jor Melbourne and Adelaide. The Gabriella leaves Wellington tonight, and is due at Greymouth on Friday to load coal for the same port. The Kalin go is due at Greymouth next Monday to load timber for Sydney and probably Newcastle. The Kaimaj loads general cargo at Dunedin on Wednesday next for Greymouth and 'Hokitika, via usual ports.
