SHOP LIFTING
TWO WOMEN IN COURT. TAIHAPE, February 10. Two women, Constance - Stretton, married, and Frances,Nixon, , single, were charged the'Court to-day with shoplifting, before vthe Magistrate, Mr Watson, Mrs Strettoii. was declared the ringleader, and she was fined £25 and Miss Nixon was fined £5, with the ah fcernative of a month’s gaol each.' Both had been suspected by local shopkeepers for twelve months. A trap was set. - Miss Nixon was caught and she confessed. A- big haul of goods has been recovered. ,
