EASY VICTORY FOR VISITORS.
AUCKLAND, February 11
The weather was fine, after overnight and early morning rain, for the second tennis test, which commenced at one o’clock. The courts were in fair condition. A large crowd overflowed- all .but the reserved stands. The visitors won five matches to one, this being the success of France over Gledhill. Results:—• SINGLES. France neat Gledhill (America), 7—o, 6 — o. Van Ryu (America) beat Stedman, 6—3, 6—l. Vines (America) .beat Malfroy, 10—8, 3—6, G—3. Allison (America) beat Angas, B—6, 6-0. . DOUBLES. Vines and Gledhill (U.S.A.) beat Malfroy and France (N.Z.) 4—6, 6—2, 6—3. Allison and V'an Hyn (U.S.A.) beat Angas and Stedman (N.Z.) 9 —7, »v u*r, n
