(United Press Association—By .Electric Telegraph—Copyright..’

BATAVIA, Feb. 11

The Navy Department states the bomb entered the ‘“Zeven Provincien” on the port side, forward of the forward funnel, causing a great panic among the ratings, who were gathered on the main deck.

Several holes were blown in the upper deck. The funnels were riddled otherwise the ship was not damaged.

A lieutenant standing on the poop was wounded in the leg by a fragment of the bomb. The Divisional Commander at Batavia announces that no private persons will be admitted to Onrust Island, portion of the defence zone.
