PASSENGER SHARED EXPENSES
HAMILTON, Feb. 10. Mr-'Wyvern 'Wilson, S.M., to-day held that the practice of car owners of carrying passengers and receiving a share, of expenses, however small, is a breach of the Transport Act. The evidence showed that the jdefemlant, . Samuel Clothier, general :dealer, of Hamilton, advertised that seats were available in his car from Hamilton to New Plymouth. The traffic inspector instructed a person to book seats, and the car was stopped on the advertised date, and was iound
to be carrying passengers. The Magistrate imposed a nominal fine of £l.
