HOSTILE NATIVES
MURDERS IN NEW GUINEA. (Australian Press Association.) CANBERRA, January 26. Hostile tribesmen in the Morobe district of New Guinea, killed two whites, William Naylor and Emile Clarius, aitd nine native carriers on January! <7s' The white men were prospectors. They I: were working in a native area. A Government party went to the scene, and they were ambushed. In a consequent fight, three natives were killed.‘. There were no Government casualties.
