AMERICAN APPRECIATION. WELLINGTON, January 23. Writing from New York on December 14, to Mr H. F. von Haast, Wellington, Mr Bruno Lasker, of the American Council of the Institute of Pacific Relations, said:— “1 have just come from a meeting at which Dr. Peter Buck gave an address on the Maori .settlement of New Zealand that was not only informing, but poetic and inspiring. I wish someone would finance him to go on with the splendid educational work he is doing at Yale, and through such occasional lectures as this.”
