WEDDING BELLS
STANLEY—O'MALLEY. The wedding took place at St. Michael’s Church, Cronadun, on /Monday, of Barbara., second daughter of Air and Airs Af. O.Alailley, oi Cronadun, to Arthur, third son of Airs and the late Air John Stanley, of Levin. The ceremony, followed by Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father 'Seymour. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was charmingly gownod in salmon pink angel’s skin lace and georgette. Her handsomely-em-broidered veil was matching in tone, and forme:! a train. It was worn with sprays of orange blossom. Her bouquet was. of cream• flowers, the gift of Ah- and Mrs.ML J. Buckland. Aliss E. O’Malley (sister) was bridesmaid, in a dainty frock of. delphinium blue lace, and bat of blue floral organdie trimmed with blue velvet ribbon. Sh e carried a sheaf of gladioli. Suitable music: was played by Airs J. Crowley '(aunt of the bride), and during the ceremony Schubert's Ave Maria” was beautifully rendered as a violin solo by Ariss Katli. O’Alalley. Air Frank Archer was best man. A reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Airs O’Alalley receiving her guests in a three-piece suit of black dull satin, and black sailor hat. She carried a bouquet of violet flowers. AYheu Mr and Airs Stanley left on their wedding journey, the bride was wearing a smart frock of red, with berth© cape and cream hat.
AIoDONAI^D—FORSYTH. The wedding wfflg solemnised at Holy Trinity. Church, Greymouth, yesterday afternoon, Archdeacon J. A. Jormyn officiating, of Afargaret (Peg.) daughter of Air and Airs AV. Forsyth, Coklen, and Philip Ernest, son of Alr.s and the late Air J. W. McDonald, Blnketown. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attended by Aliss E. Brown as bridesmaid. Air F. H. Scott was best man. The reception was held at Harker’s.
MCKAY—PEILLON. | j Brightly coloured flowers—hydrangeas and sweet peas—were used in artistic decorations of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, last evening for the wedding of Elsie Muriel Peillon, second daughter of Mrs R. Hall, Winnie Street, to Andrew Lindsay (Sam) third son of Mrs and the late Mr I>. McKay. The ceremony, which was fully djhoral, was conducted by. Eev. 1:1. K. Fell. Mr B. Tennent (cousin of the bride) presided at the organ. The vivid colour of the flowers were reflected in the pink and green georgette frocks of the bridesmaids, but the bride herself had chosen a charming ivory satin gown designed on straight-fitting lines to the knees. It was flared by slender shaped lace panels on the skirt, inset in round line at the hips to fall buck and front to the horn, the same lacje being introduced afi a pointed neck yoke and for the long sleeves which were puffed at the elbow. Th® veil of tulle, whcih was beautifully embroidered, was worn from the face with a tiny lace cap outlined with orange blossom buds. She carried a sheath of lilium auratum and gladioli. She was escorted by her father, Mr R. Hall and was followed by two maids, Miss Marjorie McKay and Miss Vera Peillon. The attractive bridesmaids’ frocks were fashioned ground length in green and pink georgette respectively, the graceful flared skirts insetted with godets of frills at the waist and knee and bodices becomingly finished with cowl collars and flared sleeves. The ensemble was completed with dainty lace mittens and coronets of silver leaves and flowers to tone and bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Mr Stanley Meredith acted us best man, and Mr Hubert Boustridge was groomsman.
