CYCLING
THE HOKITIKA CLUB. RACES HELD ON CASS SQUARE. The Hokitika Cycling Club held another of its evening meetings o n Cass Square yesterday. One good feature was the increased number of entries which necessitated the half-mile race being run off in two beats. All events were very keenly contested and finishes were very close. The Municipal Band was in attendance and contributed a programme of music between events, which helped to make a very enjoyable evening. Their borvices were Highly appreciated by all present. Tlie results’of the races were:—

Collett (30yds), 1; RSaxon (25yds), 2; time lmin 10 1-osec. Also started: J. Havill (10yds), E. Olsen (15yds), A. Johnson (60yds). Final: G. Collett 1, R. Saxon 2, K. Hamilton 3. Time lmin 7 l-2secs. One mile.—E. Cook (scr), and J. Havill (10yds) dead heat,l; R. Olsen (60yds), 3. Tiine 2min 26 1-2. Also started: S. Havill (10yds), E. Olsen (20yds), K. Hewlett (30yds), R. Saxon (35yds), G.
