(United‘Press Association —By Electric Telegi aph—Copyright.)
LONDON, January 18
“The Times” says: ‘‘The grim budget, of 1932-33 does not seem .destined to repeat the ''success of th ft 1931-32 budget. No provision is mode for payment •to the United States. The estimates of the cost of unemployment i.re .also too optimistic, and the fbva'uH oi the Free -State, will cost tbrep, ' and a half, millions. - There is little sign that the yield from taxes will be buoyant enough to offset thV,. No doubt, the nation has decided that 1933 must see the fi n al settlement of the international debt?, but additional economies must also be found if the budget lor 1933-34 is not going to be as grim as the other-?. At present, over-taxation is one of the principal causes-: checking public and private enterprise,’’ ■
