WEATHER FORECAST. Covering Western Karamea, Westport, Murchison, Eeefton, Greymouth, Hokitika, Otira, Arthur Pass, Ross, Okuru, at noon to-day:— Though barometers rose in the south last night, a deep secondary depression developed to the westward. Consequently, the southerly change failed to' become complete last night. The secondary should, however - , pass tonight, and there should be a sharp rise of pressure and a. general southerly change to follow it. The forecast is-.—Strong north-west backing to south-west to-night. Weather unsettled and squally, with rain, and some heavy falls. Temperatures ocoler; seas rough.
UNION COMPANY’S LINE The Kiwitea is loading coal at Groymouth for Wellington and Auckland sailing this afternoon, leaving Wellington next Tuesday at 3 p.m. with general cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika. The 'Kaimiro is due at Greymouth tomorrow from Wellington to load timber for 'Melbourne and Adelaide, and another 'steamer of the .same Company is due about the 25th inst to load timber for Sydney and possibly Newcastle.
