The death -is announced of the New Zealander, Basil Soulsby, a former Librarian at the British Museum. ENGLISH WRITER DIVORCED. LONDON, January 16. (Received Jan. 17th. at 9.15 a.m.) Freida Bisham Jepson, residing at Taranaki, whose evidence was taken on affidavit, was granted a. decree nisi against Edgar Jepson, on the ground of misconduct at London with Mrs Effi-e Dois Dipscombe. The steamer Taronga reached Perimon fire, and she was beached to prevent’ her capsizing. She was finally abandoned, after discharging fifty bales of skins and two hundred and fifty bales olj wool. All of her forward holds were then burning.
