AUCKLAND, January 16

Slipping on a safety zone in Queen Street shortly after two o’clock yesterday afternoon, .Mr Albert, Morris, of Rawhitiroa Street, Kohimarama, fell only a short distance in front cf an oncoming tram.

Fortunately the driver 'succeeded in stopping in time and Mr Morris escaped with a cut above the eye and abrasions, caused by his fall. He was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, but was later able to return to his home.
