BATTERY ON RACECOURSE
ADELAIDE, January 14
An Australian jockey, IT. Del bridge, wag disqualified for three yea's recently by the stipendiary steward acting for the Silver City Racing Club. It was alleged that Delbridge after passing the post in the Welter Handicap was seen by the steward to throw away an object-. Soon afterwards the steward and the secretary 'went to the fP D 6 and an electric battery was found. An inquiry ,vas held after the last race, and it was announced that Delbridge had been disqualified for allegedly carrying n- battery.
